KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, 17 September 2026 – OMS Group has strengthened its presence in Japan with the opening of a new office in Tokyo, marking another step in the Group’s continued expansion across Asia.

Operating through Optic Marine Japan, the new Tokyo office brings OMS Group closer to customers and industry partners in Japan and provides a stronger local base to support opportunities across submarine cable infrastructure, marine services and the broader digital infrastructure sector.

The expansion also strengthens OMS Group’s end-to-end connectivity capabilities through LitUp Network, extending its reach from subsea and marine infrastructure into terrestrial fibre and onward connectivity.

Japan is an important connectivity market within Asia, supported by continued investment in submarine cable systems, data centres, cloud infrastructure and international network capacity. A stronger presence in Tokyo enables OMS Group to deepen relationships in the market while supporting customers across Japan and the wider region.

“Japan plays an important role in Asia’s connectivity landscape, and strengthening our presence in Tokyo is a natural next step for OMS Group as we continue to grow across the region,” said Ronnie Lim, Group Chief Executive Officer of OMS Group.

“Our ambition goes beyond establishing a local presence. By bringing together OMS Group’s subsea and marine capabilities with terrestrial expertise through LitUp Network, we are strengthening our ability to deliver more integrated connectivity solutions for our customers.”

The opening of the Tokyo office further strengthens OMS Group’s international footprint as the Group continues to expand across key connectivity markets and support the development of resilient, scalable and integrated digital infrastructure worldwide.
